Latest market update - Auckland house prices
I have summarised the important notes from the market update provided by unconditional.co.nz below for you -
The national asking price increased by 3.9%, but compared to an 8.7% increase the year previous, shows signs of asking prices cooling off slightly.
The availability of homes listed is still well below the long term average and has been since 2012.
However, the number of new listings increases strongly every month. While the usual spring trend is evident again, the increases are not as dramatic as in previous years but I feel you will start to see an increase in listings with the lead up to Christmas.
Auckland has an average selling price of $700,000, and the rest of NZ, the average asking price is still rising strongly.
Buyer interest is still strong reports Realestate.co.nz which had 75% more unique daily visitors in September compared to a year ago.
